I folllow her birds with my Field Guide to the Birds of Britian and Europe by Peterson, Mountfort and Hollom. It is a 1954 edition but birds still look about the same!
SherryQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02473455565144414399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3664294564074355148.post-45279009899432661792008-12-18T11:10:00.000+00:002008-12-18T11:10:00.000+00:00We don't seem to have either bird near us :(Howeve...We don't seem to have either bird near us :(

However, unlike Zoe's garden we've long tailed tits a plenty :)

I loved your Wiltshire Wailers comment over at my place yesterday. S

Since I lost my huge Whitebeam in a storm last year I have noticed that we get far fewer Long-tailed Tits, who always flew in in small flocks of 20 or so flitting from tree to tree. Its almost as if the missing tree means they dont have enough cover to perch in and so they have stopped visiting :(Zoƫhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09838367166662822058noreply@blogger.com
